First World Outrage vs Third World Reality
I’m as saddened by the killing of Cecil as anyone. I will believe the dentist’s apology, in that he did not know it was an illegal kill, until an investigation proves the opposite.
Zimbabwe makes money to feed locals by issuing permits to kill various animals during each year and that includes lions. One hunter guide, Rod Dunham,* stated that lions are singled out after they are older or without a pride and a license will be issued maybe every year or two.
The locals do eat lion meat and even the bones are used, there is no waste. He also stated his one hunt camp basically feeds 190 people with up to 32 hunts per year for various animals.
I get it, Cecil was special, but I will not respond the way so many white well to do’s do, to eliminate food sources for people whose problems they don’t understand.
It reminds me of Greenpeace and the Seal and Whale debate. There are people who eat seals and whales, but the tofu eating vegans just can’t fathom the poor little seals and whales being harvested for food.
I am saddened about Cecil, but I am not outraged.
I am outraged by Planned Parenthood murdering babies so they can harvest Hearts, lungs, kidneys and other parts of babies in the womb.
That really OUTRAGES ME.
But then in a society where stardom is king, the babies don’t have the name recognition of Cecil.
But wait, not so fast!
Cecil is not so special!
He’s not the star we’ve all been led to believe.
Here are some quotes from breaking news from Reuters On Line:
‘What lion?’ Zimbabweans ask, amid global Cecil circus”
“Are you saying that all this noise is about a dead lion?
Lions are killed all the time in this country,”
“What is so special about this one?”
“Why are the Americans more concerned than us?”
“We never hear them speak out when villagers are killed by lions and elephants in Hwange.”
I’m sure that as the Hollywood, green PETA types get to the government of Zimbabwe with all the ideas of how they can gain by coming out with a rage at the hunter, the USA and all the “First World” the news from there will change.
Check out the whole story, it’s full of information the elite in Hollywood and Liberal news agency’s don’t know. Read more about their reality.
