An Open Letter to Roger Ailes

I would like to ask Mr. Ailes where the professionalism was when Megyn Kelly concocted a “sexism” story out of a throwaway line made on national TV by Donald? He did it on one of the most popular most viewed TV shows on television. A line that, at that moment, was laughed at by millions. A line that not even the woman involved in the show remembered.

Kelly framed that incident as though she was prosecuting Bill Clinton for oval office sexapades. She asked:

“Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks,” Kelly said to Trump. “You once told a contestant on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”

Brande Roderick, the woman in question in the “knees” question said, “Like Donald I don’t remember him saying that” and “He was on TV, trying to be funny.” During an interview on MSNBC Roderick said, “I’ve always had a positive experience around Donald. He’s always been encouraging. He’s never been disrespectful to me.”

Got that Kelly? He was part of the show and as such in entertainment mode. I think he also has a great record of respect towards women. He has a great respect for his family.

Does Kelly sound like she’s capable of moderating a presidential debate?

Where was her professionalism when while the crowd was celebrating Trumps answer, “That was only Rosie O’Donnell,” she stated, “That’s not true” and then followed with ,”For the record it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell.”

Whose record? Hers?

Is the job of a moderator to debate the candidates? I thought that went out with Candy Crowley. Is the debate supposed to be between the candidates?

Mr. Ailes, you either have what you want in Kelly or you don’t realize what you have. Either way I feel sorry for Fox and the Fox audience. An audience you’re losing.

Roger, tell Kelly, You’re Fired!
