Seldom Heard Quotes Made by Environmental Leaders Part 1.4

“We must make this an insecure and uninhabitable place for capitalists and their projects. This is the best contribution we can make towards protecting the earth and struggling for a liberating society.”
Ecotage, an offshoot of Earth First

The greatest assault on capitalism is government regulation. Government regulation will tear the heart out of the entrepreneurial spirit of humans. It will discourage expansion and investment.

Through government regulations, the environmentalists have their foot in the door for the destruction of capitalism. When government agencies like the EPA are used as a “tyrant’s” platform by ideologically driven people, capitalism is hard pressed to fight back.

In Southern California, 227,000 jobs were lost between 1988 and 1991 because of environmental regulations. Twelve furniture companies also left Southern California due to overbearing regulations at a cost of 33,000 jobs alone.

How many of these jobs have been lost by the people in South Central Los Angeles?

I always thought the only ideological groups against capitalism were the communists. I guess I was wrong.

“We have wished, we ecofreaks, for a disaster or for social change to come and bomb us into the Stone Age, where we might live like Indians in our valley, with our localism, our appropriate technology, our gardens, our homemade religion—guilt free.”

This sounds like garbled incantations from a sixties hippie commune. However, don’t think for one second, that environmentalists don’t mean it. Normal humans brush statements like this off as, “That’s a statement only a fanatic would make.”

Would they like a world war or a vile opened so that billions of humans, Americans, would die. I believe they would!

Don’t ignore it–they mean it!
